　　自身也深谙摄影的维姆·文德斯，醉心于萨尔加多的摄影美学已有二十五年之久，终于如愿与萨尔加多长子朱利安诺联手执导，甚至亲自在幕后献声配音。片中在追寻萨尔加多一路走来的成长过程、创作轨迹与家庭婚姻之余，两人也收拾好行囊、带上摄影机，跟随着萨尔加多的“创世纪”计划，一同踏上前往世界尽头的旅程，探索在人类永无止境的扩张开发之前，地球最赤裸原始的面貌。
